In life, we face trials of many kinds. Sometimes, we find the support we need from the community and people around us, however, there are times when we need a little more, or a different kind of support than we can find in our daily circles. I believe this is where counseling can come in. Counseling is a place for you to come as you are, with all your pain and fear, worries and questions. It is a place to unpack what you have been holding on to, and find grace and care for whatever that is. It is a place to explore and heal and transform in a trusted relationship with another human.

My Christian faith is the guiding light for my life, and it is what led me into this profession. My heart for the work that I do, is that you would feel seen and understood; that you would discover more of how you are creatively designed, learn new skills, uncover existing strengths, and see life from a different perspective. My desire is that you would gain insight and hope, and a deeper understanding for why you might be experiencing life as you are.

``The joy of the Lord is your strength.`` ~ Nehemiah 8:10

Experience & Style

You are not broken. You are carrying something heavy—and possibly have been for a very long time.

Maybe it is the aftermath of a divorce that left you questioning everything. Maybe it is the exhaustion of holding everyone else together while invisibly falling apart yourself. Maybe it is grief, anxiety, trauma, or simply the numb feeling that joy used to live here, and now it does not.

I have been there. Not in theory. In real life.

Twenty years of marriage ended while my four children were still in elementary, junior high, and high school. There were mornings I did not know how I would get through the day. There were nights I fell asleep with tears and woke, still with tears streaming down my face. Emotional heartbreak is its own kind of trauma and society does not talk enough about that.

But here is what I also know: healing is real. Joy is not just for other people. And you are not disqualified to experience joy if your story is messy.

What makes me different
I will not just sit across from you and nod. I bring the body into healing because trauma, stress, and grief live in your nervous system, not just your thoughts. I bring warmth and directness that lead to solutions. I bring faith if you want it (and I will never push it). And I bring a fierce belief that your relationships—especially the one with yourself—can become a source of joy again. Including fun. Especially fun. Most of us forget how to have that and need a gentle reminder.

What you can expect

A safe, judgment-free space where you are heard, respected, and gently challenged.
Real strategies you can use the next day. A counselor who has done her own work and walks with you from a place of genuine confidence, not clinical distance. And a clear path forward. You do not need vague hope, but actual steps to achieve it and a way to check in on that progress.

Teletherapy for your convenience

I am happy to see clients through telehealth, and I know personally it works. I have
watched clients heal trauma in their own home snuggled with their cat or their dog in their favorite chair, or navigate career crisis from their own kitchen table, but always building new lives without the barrier of weather, traffic, or childcare. It is private. It is effective. And it is convenient.

A word about faith
My relationship with Christ was clarified and deepened through my hardest years.
Nehemiah 8:10 says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength” That has been true for me. If you want faith integrated into your care, I am honored to do that. If you do not want that.I will also honor that. You lead. I follow.

You do not have to stay stuck
You were not meant to do this alone. And you were certainly not meant to do it without joy.
Reach out. Let us talk. Healing and happiness are closer than you think.
