MY APPROACH
Reaching out for counseling can feel like a big step, especially when life feels heavy, confusing, or not how you expected it to be. I believe therapy should be a place where you can say things out loud that you may not feel comfortable saying anywhere else, slow down, and reflect in a place that feels safe.
I have a strong interest in working with individuals navigating substance use, recovery, and other addictive behaviors, along with those affected by a loved one’s addiction. I also support individuals working through anxiety, depression, and life transitions like pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting. I welcome working with couples who are looking to improve communication, rebuild trust, or feel more connected.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in healthcare, as well as in residential substance use treatment and a medium-security correctional facility. This experience has shaped my ability to meet people with respect, curiosity, and without judgment. I am comfortable working with individuals involved in the legal system, including probation, court-ordered services, and other mandated situations. I believe change is possible, no matter the situation you find yourself in.
My faith is an important part of who I am, and I’m comfortable incorporating a Christian perspective into counseling for those who desire it, while always respecting where each person is in their own beliefs and experiences.
