MY APPROACH

I see counseling as a collaborative process where your values take center stage. Together, we’ll clarify what matters most to you—whether shaped by faith, relationships, or personal meaning—and take intentional steps toward living in alignment with those values, even when life feels hard.

I aim to show up as warm, calm, and present, creating a space where you can slow down, reflect, and be honest about your experience. My style is relational and straightforward, with a bit of humor when it fits. I won’t rush you or offer quick answers, but I will be engaged and genuine with you. I often use analogies to help connect the dots in ways that feel practical and easier to grasp.

Life can feel heavy and, at times, hard to make sense of. You might feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what your next step is. You don’t have to come in with the right words or a clear plan. I offer a space where you can be honest about what’s going on, talk things through, and begin to sort it out at a pace that feels right for you. If faith is important to you, it’s welcome here and can be thoughtfully integrated into our work together.

“Life is never made unbearable by circumstances, but only by lack of meaning and purpose.” — Viktor Frankl

Before becoming a therapist, I served in pastoral roles within the church. I bring that same shepherding presence into the therapy room, honoring each person’s story and the larger context they’re part of. My faith shapes how I understand meaning, suffering, and growth, and I approach each person with cultural humility and spiritual sensitivity.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of someone to talk to, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you.

About Me

Outside of counseling, I enjoy connecting with people over a good cup of coffee and meaningful conversation. I love long walks where I can think, pray, and reflect. Serving at my Church, reading, music, biking, board games, video games, camp fires, and time outdoors are some of the things that bring me joy.

EDUCATION

I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bethel University.
