Dawn Ziemer

I am for you and I’m so glad that you have decided to reach out for support! Maybe you are overwhelmed with stress, dealing with change, or transition. Maybe you have suffered a significant loss. You might be struggling with staying on task, difficulty focusing, lack of motivation, or setting limits. Maybe you want to understand yourself, your family of origin and other relationships more fully. You may have found yourself turning to behaviors that give you relief in the short term but can see the harm they cause you and others in the long term.

You are not alone! Like you there was a time in my life when I knew needed a professional to walk alongside me in the midst of my struggles. It took a lot of courage for me to take that first step. I am so glad that I did! The counselor met me in that space with the kindness, sensitivity, compassion and wisdom that I needed to get unstuck.

My passion is to come alongside those seeking help with sensitivity, honesty, empathy, and hope. Providing guidance toward resolving issues, enabling clients to lead more fulfilling, balanced and enriched lives. Whatever your need is, I will meet you where you are at in this season of your journey.

I believe you matter, you are worthwhile and you belong. Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV) says it this way: “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” It is normal to feel hesitant and a bit anxious about seeing a therapist. It is also true that we utilize many tools to increase our ability to tackle different areas in our lives. Therapy is another powerful tool that will help clients make changes in building a healthier emotional, social, physical and spiritual life. Therapy helps us talk about all that is going on inside us. It opens the door to receive comfort and healing. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 (NIV)  God also knows our difficulties and invites us to look to him. He calls us radiant and does not shame us. Psalm 34:5 (NIV) says this.“Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”

You do better in a gym with a trainer; you don’t figure out how to cook without reading a recipe; and therapy is not something to be embarrassed about.” Kristen Bell- Actress
