My Clients

Maybe you are overwhelmed with stress, dealing with change, or transition. Maybe you have suffered a significant loss. You might be struggling with staying on task, difficulty focusing, lack of motivation, or setting limits. Maybe you want to understand yourself, your family of origin and other relationships more fully. You may have found yourself turning to behaviors that give you relief in the short term but can see the harm they cause you and others in the long term. Is your spiritual journey lonely? Is what you have believed changing? Are your new beliefs at odds with your church or your family? Do you feel like an outcast? Do you need a safe place to vent?

I believe you matter, you are worthwhile and you belong and you are not alone. One of my favorite verses is Zephaniah 3:17. It says “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” Our creator cares for us, delights in us, calms us, and in happiness about us sings songs over us. Psalm 139: 13-14a says “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Even though it may be hard for us to take in, I think we are so important to God that when he thinks about us he does a happy dance!

Like you, there was a time in my life when I knew needed a professional to walk alongside me in the midst of my struggles. It took a lot of courage for me to take that first step. I am so glad that I did! The counselor met me in that space without judgment, with the kindness, sensitivity, compassion and wisdom that I needed to get unstuck.

“I think faith is both a gift and a choice, sometimes at the same time. I think it’s a confidence in the midst of doubt, it’s work and it’s rest. Faith is a risk and it’s gorgeous to leap out into the freefall.” ~ Author Unknown
