My Approach
Relationships are central to who we are, and when they are struggling, it can affect everything. I am especially passionate about working with couples, helping them navigate challenges and deepen their connection. I also count it as a privilege to walk alongside individuals and families through the messy and meaningful parts of life. I believe that healing happens through connection – where people feel seen and supported.
My approach is warm and collaborative, with a dash of humor when appropriate. I am especially drawn to helping those navigating anxiety, grief, hurt, life transitions, relationship and marriage struggles, spiritual questions, and questions of purpose. Having walked through my own seasons of uncertainty and growth, I know how important it is to have a safe place to process what you are going through, without pressure and without judgment.
David penned these words while fleeing from the vengeful King Saul (1 Samuel 21:10–15). Soon after, he found shelter in a cave, where those in distress, in debt, and bitter in soul gathered around him. It became a place where weary people could rest, share their burdens, and be strengthened together. While God is our true refuge, my prayer is that therapy would be like that cave—a safe and steady place to lay down what burdens you, to be reminded that you are not alone, and to discover hope and courage for the journey ahead.
Before pursuing therapy, I worked in campus ministry in the U.S. and abroad and in a church administrative role, where I supported others in their spiritual and emotional journeys directly and indirectly. I bring that same heart into the therapy room, honoring each person’s unique story and the bigger picture they are part of. I approach therapy with cultural humility and spiritual sensitivity, recognizing the importance of these dimensions in the healing process.
Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of someone to talk to, know that you do not have to figure it out alone. I would be honored to join you on your journey.
About Me
My wife and I love to be outside and explore new places, as weather permits. During the winter, we are hunched over our living room table completing thrift-store-bought puzzles.
Education
I received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and I am in the process of completing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary.
