Bri Anderson

Everyone experiences times of difficulty at various points throughout their life, but going through those experiences and feelings is something no one should have to go through alone.

When someone comes to therapy, they should feel heard and validated. Therapy is a collaborative process and I want to create a safe and collaborative space for my clients to process the situation they are facing and develop a plan for personal growth. I approach therapy through a joint effort and client-centered lens by listening to your unique experiences and strengths. In my office, my role as a therapist is to help hold what clients feel ready to bring to the session and meet them where they are at.

When working with me, clients can expect a curious and compassionate provider. I aim to provide a space to set healthy boundaries, build self-esteem, foster new changes and ideas, and self-discovery. I am active in sessions, listen attentively, and am respectfully directive when needed. My role as a therapist is to bring new insights, identify strengths, clarify goals, and assist in exploring new skills.

As a Christian and follower of Jesus Christ, I welcome faith integration into counseling, always respecting what you are comfortable with.

“God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
-2 Timothy 1:7

Experience

Bri is deeply drawn to the field of marriage and family therapy because it acknowledges the profound impact relationships have on individuals—whether positive or negative. She believes therapy provides a safe environment for people to uncover the hidden barriers preventing them from forming healthy connections.  Bri utilizes a client-centered approach, working in collaboration with her clients to determine the focus areas based on their preferences and needs. She works with children, individuals, couples, and families.

Bri has a wide variety of interests that include baking, reading, and spending as much time as she can outdoors. Outside of the therapy room you can find her spending time up at Lake Superior with her husband and her golden retriever.

Education

Bri graduated with a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She has a BS in Recreation Administration and Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
