You may be dealing with having your entire belief system and identity ripped out from underneath you. Or the place and people you believed should create a safe environment for you only caused shame and guilt through harmful teachings, reactions, and beliefs. Our nervous system often feels overwhelmed when our past continues to follow us or the present day challenges feel like too much to handle.

If you are looking for a way to heal from trauma or other distressing events in your life, I provide a trauma and spiritually informed approach to process your painful experiences. Your reactions make sense, based on what life threw your way. Those experiences involving fear are often stored emotionally rather than logically in our mind. I help people to feel grounded and confident when facing their obstacles or healing from the past.

I most often work with the husband and wife who are looking to heal from the trauma that occurred from their family of origin that continues to get triggered in their marriage & family life. I also lead couples and families in healing and strengthening their relationships with each other, and spiritually with God. I also work with teens and young adults in navigating their emotional health through their life transitions and relationships.

My approach uses both EMDR therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help the brain reprocess distressing relationship memories so they no longer keep the nervous system on high alert. This allows you to respond to relationships in a calmer, more secure way and make healthier choices instead of repeating old patterns.
