Robert Mantia

So it’s come to this. You’re looking for a counselor. Maybe you’ve been putting this off for a long time and something happened just recently to make you take the step. Maybe someone you know thinks you should “get help.” Maybe there’s something you want to talk about but don’t know if you can tell your family or friends. Or maybe it’s something totally different.

My job is to give you the tools you need to make your current situation better by increasing your knowledge, skills, insight, awareness, and most of all, hope. The process can take a lot of work, but you can get through it by remembering two important things:

  1. You can’t change other people, but you can change yourself
  2. God continues to work miracles every day, and He never gives up on us

Background

I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor with a master’s degree in counseling from Adler Graduate School, and I’m an associate member of the American Psychological Association and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

My past experiences have included helping men think before they act and make better decisions, teaching children skills to overcome school and family struggles and to make friends easier, and working with families to build parenting and communication skills. I’ve also known the pain of grief and loss, and seen some of the things that make marriages stand or fall.

Some of my focus areas are:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Family therapy
  • Men’s issues
  • Parenting
  • Behavioral struggles
  • Autism
  • Anger
  • Addiction
  • Grief and loss
  • Pre-marital counseling

I look forward to meeting you in person and listening to your story.
