Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is ask for help. In a society that values independence and productivity at any cost it’s no wonder that so many are left worn out, stressed, and feeling alone. As a recovering perfectionist, I have struggled with the brokenness I felt inside but wanted so desperately to hide. Thankfully, I found the grace of God at my lowest point in life. He accepted my brokenness and lead me to a team of amazing therapists and treatment providers. Today I am honored and amazed to be used by God in such a sacred profession. To be trusted to hold and honor your stories is what I was meant to do. As a therapist I specialize in work with individuals and couples who find themselves wrestling with their own brokenness. I am passionate about building healthy connections with my clients and using that platform of trust to help facilitate self-compassion, shame resilience, and healing. I offer a non-judgmental, strength based perspective, in which I work together in a team approach with my clients to help them achieve their goals. I incorporate faith to the degree my clients are comfortable with. My methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, DBT, Narrative approaches in a combination of styles individually tailored to each client. I am also a certified facilitator for the PREPARE/ENRICH relationship inventory used in premarital counseling.
I work with adults and couples, survivors of abuse, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, addictions, depression, spirituality issues, cross-cultural issues, and relationship struggles. My past work experiences include: advocacy for sex trafficking victims, the homeless, domestic abuse survivors, and those recovering from addictions in an urban ministry setting. I also have experience with inpatient chemical dependency, as well as counseling women and families in poverty at a pregnancy center.
