Hello! I am so glad that you are considering counseling. If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or hopeless, know that you are not in it alone. Reaching out for support is a huge first step, and I would love to be there on the other side of it for you. My goal is to create a space where you feel welcome and comfortable, and together we would explore the challenges you’re facing. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I use a variety of counseling approaches—all built on a foundation of trust. During sessions, we would pay close attention to relationships and patterns from your family of origin to consider how they might be impacting your life today. As a Christian, I also enjoy incorporating faith and prayer into sessions if that is something you are interested in.

One of the most impactful Bible verses in my life has been Psalm 18:19: “He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me.” When I felt trapped in mental, behavioral, and relational patterns that were detrimental, this verse was a sweet reminder that the God of the universe delights in me, and that he is there to rescue me from shaky ground and bring me to a broad place. If you’re feeling trapped today, that same God desires freedom, wholeness, and fullness of life—a broad place—for you! I would be honored to be an instrument in His hand by walking with you that direction.

I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. - Psalm 40:1-3

I am currently completing an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Bethel Seminary, and I have a B.A. in Educational Studies from Messiah College. When I am not at Christian Heart Counseling, I enjoy baking, tennis, hiking, coffee, card games—and really anything if I’m doing it with family and friends.
