As a wife and mother herself, Rebecca understands just how difficult it can be to discern what the right way is for your child and your family. She is honored to come alongside parents as they endeavor to be their children’s first and best teachers. She strongly encourages parents to play an active role in the therapy process so that the child’s, teen’s and family’s healing is carried into home, school and church.
Experience: Rebecca is a licensed psychologist. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of St. Benedict; and her Master of Science in Applied Psychology from St Cloud State University. She completed her internship and supervised practice at the Timberland Adolescent and Children’s program in Brainerd, MN, a psychiatric hospital for children age 9 to 17.
Rebecca has over 20 years of experience working with children, teens, adults and families in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, prisons, residential treatment centers, and clinics.
Rebecca has clinical experience treating problems with depression, anxiety, fears and phobias, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder( ADHD), Obsessive compulsive disorder(OCD) and other compulsive disorders, behavioral sleep disorders, Post traumatic stress disorder, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma and abuse. She has successfully helped families with a range of concerns including adjustment, discipline, bonding, parenting training and blended families.
Rebecca integrates evidenced based psychotherapy with traditional Gospel values in her care of children, teens and families.
