My life is the aforementioned quote. My desire is to integrate prayer and biblical principles in every area of my life and counseling.
My life experience of physical and emotional abuse by my family of origin gave me a burden for hurting teens and families. I spent 12 years working in group homes and supervised children in foster care who were struggling with attachment issues, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, acting out behaviors, chemical problems and adoption issues.
In 1993, God gave me a vision to start a non-profit ministry to help men, women and children find help and healing from the life experience of sexual, emotional and physical abuse. We worked not only with adult victims but children through Play Therapy. We also had a burden to stop men from sexually offending and started Project Restoration Sexual Offenders Program to help them. I had the privilege of serving with the Christian Recovery Counseling for 21 yrs.
Now God is leading me unto new ventures, one of them is to do counseling with Christian Heart Counseling. It brings me joy to reunite with Bill Rush in his counseling Ministry.
Licensure and Specialties
Jeanette Vought is a Licensed Psychologist. She has co-authored, “Helping Victims of Sexual Abuse” and authored, “Post Abortion Trauma, Nine Steps to Recovery”. The Becomer’s Sexual Abuse Group and Conquerer’s Post Abortion Group have 9-steps to recovery programs that are written in these books. Jeanette is specialized in working with PTSD, dissociation, depression, anxiety and long term mental illness. She is trained in EMDR, Theophostic Ministry, Play Therapy and Family and Marriage Counseling.
