I desire to bring hope and healing through counseling that encourages, inspires, and equips people for the struggles in life. I work with individuals, adolescents, and couples encountering distress from trauma, life transitions, anxiety, depression, communication problems, and conflict. I also work with children ages eight and over experiencing anxiety.

As a counselor for fifteen years, my emphasis is helping people heal through processing loss and gaining strength through supportive and personalized treatment. In addition, I desire to impact and influence people to live life more abundantly for themselves and gain insight into God’s design for their life.

I have been married for over 25 years and have four sons, two who are married. Earlier in my life, I experienced the loss of a marriage which resulted in my living as a single, working mother and raising a child alone. My experience in this area gives me useful insight into the challenges faced by single and divorced people.

Education and Training

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist from the Wellness Institute. Both treatments have been found to be beneficial in helping people move past painful memories and experiences that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, or other problems in life.
